Welcome to the Amateur Radio Club of Mt. Vernon Homepage.
Our club is located in Mt. Vernon, Illinois and includes members from
Jefferson, Wayne, &
Washington counties in Illinois. Our repeater is 147.135+ MHZ and our club callsign is
KB9KDE. We meet the 3rd Tuesday of each month except for December.
There is a club breakfast the first Saturday of each month at 7:30 AM at A's
Cafe in Mt. Vernon. We also have VE Exam sessions the 3rd Saturday of each

The purpose Or purposes
for which the corporation is organized are: Exclusively to promote scientific radio knowledge, and to so conduct club educational programs and activities as to advance the general interest and welfare of amateur radio in the community of Jefferson County, Illinois & Furthermore to provide trained volunteer emergency communication services in times of natural disasters, civil defense, or community civic need.
